 14-05-2021 Michael Quinlan

Michael Quinlan is the Managing Partner of the Dublin firm of Dixon Quinlan Solicitors. A native of Dublin, he has been in practice over 30 years since qualifying from Law Society in 1981. He has developed the practice to where it is today acting in a wide variety of areas, including Conveyancing, Probate, Defence Litigation and acting on behalf of Local Authorities in the Prosecution of Offences under Planning Legislation and breaches of Environmental Legislation. He is a former Chairman of the Law Society Regulation of Practice Committee. Michael is a Past President of the Law Society of Ireland and is a former President of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association. He has been a Board member of the Courts Service and of the Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority (IASSA). Michael still maintains his seat of the Council of the Law Society. He is a Practising Notary Public and a member of the Faculty of Notaries Public in Ireland.  Back to List of Members


 14-05-2021 Seamus CliffordSeamus Clifford  heads up the Financial Shared Services Centre of the Department of Justice in Killarney and has extensive experience in public sector accounting, budgeting and audit compliance.  22-11-2021 Dr O Ceidigh Muiris O'Ceidigh is a solicitor, having practiced with A & L Goodbody as a corporate lawyer. Muiris holds a Doctorate in Governance from Queens University Belfast and holds an MBA and M.Sc. (Economics) from Trinity and has recently completed the Cambridge University Leadership Programme. As a CEO of a State regulatory body (National Milk Agency), he has many years’ experience of the establishment of regulatory systems and associated enforcement. He has expertise in blockchain, and financial technology having completed the Fintech program of Oxford University. He also holds a Diploma in Judicial Skills and Decision Making from the Law Society of Ireland. Muiris is also member of the Veterinary Council of Ireland.  He previously served on the Medical Scientist Registration Board (professional regulation) representing the Public Interest. He served for several years as a director of the Economic Research Institute of Northern Ireland having been appointed by the UK government.   Back to List of Members


 Gordon HughesGordon Hughes has over 20 years’ experience in the property sector having worked for a large Property Management Company in Dublin.  He established his own property practice in 2001 in his native Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim.  In 2017, Gordon expanded his business when he acquired the successful practice of John Fitzgerald Auctioneers in Ratoath, Co. Meath and rebranded the company as Fitzgerald Hughes.  He has served as a  County Councillor and has worked on the Board of HSE West, Border Regional Authority and Leitrim Enterprise Company.  Ella Dunphy

Ella Dunphy established herself as a leading Auctioneer and Valuer in Kilkenny City and in the South East Region over the past 16 years.  In 2013, Ella was elected to the Council of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers and in 2018 was appointed as the first lady President of the Institute of Auctioneers & Valuers.    Ella also sits on a committee with IT Tallaght involved with the setting of the modules for the Property Valuations degree course. Back to List of Members





 Orla MoranOrla Moran is a qualified Chartered Accountant with CAI and a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) with the Irish Tax Institute.  Orla is also a qualified Barrister after completing a BCL (International) degree in University College Dublin and holds a Barrister at Law Degree from King’s Inns Dublin. Orla has extensive experience in accounting, compliance, tax, regulatory and legal affairs.  14-05-2021 Geraldine HynesGeraldine Hynes is a solicitor and accredited mediator with many years’ experience in general practice, legal education, regulation and equality law. She has lectured on a number of post-graduate diploma courses at the Law Society of Ireland including Employment Law, Mediation, Judicial Skills and Human Rights. Since 2012, Geraldine has worked as a mediator and alternative dispute resolution consultant. She also chairs tribunals established under the Mental Health Acts and has been a board member of the Workplace Relations Commission since its establishment in 2015.  Back to List of Members

Áine Myler is a Chartered Surveyor & Real Estate Consultant with over 30 years of industry and board-level experience.  She regularly presents and chairs industry events and contributes to industry policy & regulatory submissions. Aine was formerly the Director General & Registrar of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI), Ireland’s largest property & construction professional standards and regulatory body.   She is a Fellow of the Society, a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a former President of the Irish Auctioneers & Valuers Institute. Before joining the Society, Áine led and managed professional services agencies, often managing multi-disciplinary project teams.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Planning & Development Economics from TU Dublin and Professional Diploma in Arbitration from UCD.  Back to List of Members
